I Genuinely Didn’t Believe This Relationship With Movement Was Possible
The energy is intense right now (do you feel it, too?), and intuitive movement has become a life raft in the most beautiful way.
Ya’ll, this energy right now! Are you feeling it too? There have been a few difficult things happening in my life in the last week, and the energy I’m feeling surrounding it all—intense, all-consuming, heavy—has been crazy. And a lot to hold.
What’s been one of the most invaluable tools in navigating it? Movement.
But not forceful, change my body, stay small kind of movement.
More like: feeling, flowing, moving through this energy kind of movement. Following my body’s cues kind of movement.
And let me tell you that, 3+ years ago, I wouldn’t have believed that this relationship with movement was possible. It was always forceful. It was always about my body.
My guess is you would also like for movement to feel natural and easeful. (That’s probably why you’re here reading this and subscribed to Nope.) But, perhaps you also can’t believe that this type of intuitive movement is possible.
That’s why I want to share more about my experience with intuitive movement this past weekend, along with some healing nuggets to help you continue your healing journey, too.
I want to help you create a relationship with movement that supports you in whatever you’re going through, right now and always. I also want you to know that, if you’re in the thick of it and this feels far-off, there is another way.
If you’re dedicated to doing the work, you will get there. Trust the process of your healing journey, love. Easier said than done, I know! But it’s true.
A quick note before we keep going: what I share today should not be a reason for you to bully yourself into moving your body. Hell. No. This is about listening to yourself and your needs. That may guide you toward some kind of movement (walking, yoga, running, hiking, swimming, whatever), and it may not. That's OKAY.
